| Before Use
Wash your nappies, inserts, boosters, 3 times on warm cycle with 1/4 to 1/2 strength detergent to increase hemp absorbency, the desired absorbency is achieved after approximately 10 washes.

| After Use
Remove solid waste in the toilet by tipping the nappy, often solids will roll off the inner fabric of the nappy, if they do not you can use a hose conected to a tap to spray it off with water pressure into the toilet, I use a simple plastic shower hose if necessary(remove the shower head) connected to my bath tap, or you can use a device such as a "little squirt"(a device which connects to your toilet with a high pressure spray head.
Wet nappies need not be rinsed at all.

| Storing Used Nappies
Place your wet/dirty nappies into a dry bucket with a lid. Nappies do not need any water or solutions such as bleach or napisan to soak in, these can deteriote the fabrics and elastic with continued use. A dry bucket I have found smells less than a wet one. This also removes a hazzard to your child.
Seperate your pocket(outer)from your inserts/boosters, place them all together in the same bucket until you have enough for a load. For a more pleasant smelling bucket in between washing you can use a scented disc such as a "citrus circle" this sticks to the lid of your bucket or try a small scrap of fabric with some essential oil or some bicarbonate of soda in the bottom of the bucket.

| Washing
Washing your nappies every second day is preferable. It is fine to wash with other clothing if you prefer to have a full load.
Washing temperature should be cold or warm, hot cycles can damage fabrics over time.
Use quarter to half the recommended dosage of detergent, the reason for this is, it can build up on your nappies and act as a repellant and your nappies cannot absorb liquids. Fabric softeners should also not be used for the same reason.
Line drying is better for your nappies, the sun helps remove stains and sanitises as well. Dryers should only be used on cold to warm cyles, same as washing.
