Q: How long can a nappy be left on ?
How long should i leave my baby's nappy on if he/she doesn't poo ?
A:
Our nappies can absorb a lot of liquid especially when used with the booster folded in half in the wet zone, they can be changed according to how much your baby wets, this can be many hours, we recommend you change your baby every 3 hours, if not soiled before that.
Q: What about stains ?
If the nappy requires no soaking, how do the stains come out in the white inner fabric of the nappy ?
A:
The inner fabric has been selected as it is stain resistant, solutions such as oxygen bleach(napisan) are not necessary at all. If you first remove your solids in the toilet and put your nappy in your dry bucket, any stain will usually come out in the wash, I have not had a nappy that hasn't come out stain free yet.
Q: How do I remove solids ?
How do i remove the poo from the nappy and do i need a special device to do this ?
A:
No, its not necessary to have a special water device to remove solids from soiled nappies, some mums prefer to use a flushable liner in the nappy. Without a liner, the solids generally 'peel' off, so to speak, and roll off in the toilet, off the inner white fleece fabric, then you can just flush it away.
Q: Breast Feeding ?
My baby is breastfed and the poo is quite runny and watery, how do i clean the nappy ?
A:
Take out your inserts, rinse your pocket and any soiled inserts in the laundry sink and then put in your dry bucket until you are ready to wash a load.
Q: Can I use a new insert ?
Can I just replace the wet used contour insert with a new contour insert and put it inside the pocket ?
A:
No, for hygiene to be maintained, the whole nappy will need to be washed once baby has wet or soiled the nappy, residue from urine will still be left on the pocket nappy.
